WhatsApp Chat
Open direct communication with your visitors! The WhatsApp Chat tool for Divi Plus integrates a floating WhatsApp chat button in your site’s footer, letting users initiate direct conversations with a pre-filled template message.
How to enable WhatsApp chat tool
To enable the floating WhatsApp Chat button, use the following steps:
- Navigate to your WordPress Admin Dashboard.
- Go to Settings > Divi Plus Options.
- Open the Tools tab and click on the WhatsApp Chat section.
- Toggle the Enable WhatsApp Chat switch to ON and input your contact settings.

WhatsApp number and template message
Input your international phone number (without “+” symbols or spaces). You can also add a pre-written message (e.g., “Hello, I am interested in booking a consultation.”) that will automatically load in the user’s WhatsApp chat box.
Position and delay
Position the floating icon on the Bottom-Left or Bottom-Right of the screen. You can set a delay (in seconds) so the button fades onto the page after the user starts reading.
Tooltip label
Add a small hovering text label (e.g., Need help?) that reveals itself when visitors hover their mouse cursor over the floating WhatsApp icon.
Design and styling Options
- Button styling: Set custom icon sizes, button diameters, offsets (margins) from screen edges, and backgrounds.
- Pulse animation: Toggle an automatic, repeating radial pulse animation ring behind the button to draw visual attention.
- Responsive display: Hide the button specifically on desktop screens or mobile screens using direct toggles.
Pro Tip: Keep the pre-filled template message short and clear. This makes it easier for users to click send immediately on WhatsApp without needing to type.

What formatting should I use for the WhatsApp phone number?
Use your international format using digits only. Do not include spaces, dashes, parentheses, or the “+” symbol (e.g., use 1234567890 instead of +1 (234) 567-890).
Can I hide the WhatsApp button on desktop screens?
Yes. The tools settings include separate switches to hide the floating button on mobile devices or hide it on desktop viewports.
Does the button slow down my page load speed?
No. It renders a lightweight inline SVG element and enqueues minimal inline CSS, keeping page assets highly optimized.
