Setting up menu and footer links in divi plus child themes

When you import a Divi child theme demo, you may notice that many menu and footer links point to the same URL or use a # placeholder. This is normal behavior, as these links are included only for demonstration purposes.

How to replace dummy links with your pages

  1. Create Your Pages
    • Go to Pages > Add New in your WordPress dashboard.
    • Create and publish the pages you want (e.g., Home, About, Services, Contact).
  2. Edit the Menu
    • Navigate to Appearance > Menus.
    • Select the menu that was imported with the demo content.
  3. Replace Placeholder Links
    • You’ll see that menu items may have links set to #.
    • For each menu item:
      • Update the URL field to point to your actual page.
      • Alternatively, remove the dummy item and add a new page from the list on the left.
  4. Save the Menu
    • Click Save Menu to apply your changes.
