Blog Categories

The Divi Blog Categories module allows you to display your WordPress blog categories in a clean, structured, and highly customizable layout. Whether you’re organizing content for better navigation or highlighting specific topics, this module makes it easy to present categories along with post counts, custom labels, and flexible display options.

How to add module on page

Once Divi Plus is activated, it adds several modules to the Divi builder. To add a module on the page, use the following steps:

  1. Create/Edit a Page/Post that uses Divi builder.
  2. Create/Edit a row.
  3. Click on Add New Module option; choose the DP Blog Categories module.

Content Configuration

Number of Categories

Specify how many categories you want to display.

  • Example: 4

Include Categories

Select specific categories you want to show in the module.

  • Useful when you want to highlight only certain categories.

Order By

Choose the parameter used to sort the categories.

  • Name – Alphabetical order
  • Slug – Category slug
  • Term ID – Numeric ID of the category
  • Post Count – Sort by the number of posts in each category
  • Menu Order – Custom ordering

Order

Select the sorting direction.

  • ASC – Ascending
  • DESC – Descending

Hide Empty

Choose whether to hide categories that have no posts.

  • Yes or No
  • Default: No

No Result Text

Message displayed when no categories match the selected criteria.

  • Default: “The categories you requested could not be found”

Display

Layout

Choose how the categories are visually presented. The module provides two layout options:

  • Layout 1 – Standard grid-based presentation.
  • Layout 2 – An alternate visual design offering a different style.

Number of Columns

Specify how many columns the category items should be arranged into.

  • Example: 4 Columns

Items Gap

Adjust the spacing between category items for better visual balance.

  • Example: 20px

Show Post Count

Enable or disable the display of the number of posts in each category.

  • Yes / No

Show as Super Number

Displays the post count as a large, highlighted number for greater emphasis.

  • Yes / No

Post Count Text

Set the label that appears with the post count.

  • Example: “Articles”
