Custom post type setting in module

Divi Blog Extras is compatible with both Divi 4 and Divi 5. However, the way custom post types (CPTs) are handled differs between these versions.

Using custom post types in Divi 5

In Divi 5, the Custom Post Type setting in Divi Blog Extras is deprecated because custom post types are handled directly through the Divi Builder module settings.

You do not need to enable this setting to use custom post types. Simply open the Divi Blog Extras module settings in the Divi 5 Builder and select the required post type. The availability of custom post types is not affected by whether the deprecated setting is enabled or disabled.

Note: The deprecated message does not mean that Divi Blog Extras is incompatible with Divi 5. It only means that this setting is no longer required for managing custom post types.

Using Custom Post Types in Divi 4

In Divi 4, the Custom Post Type setting must be enabled in Divi Blog Extras to make custom post types available in the module settings.

Once enabled, open the Divi Builder, edit the Divi Blog Extras module, and select the custom post type you want to display.

If the setting is disabled, custom post types will not be available through this configuration.
