Overview

The Divi 5 Migration Tool is used to convert existing Divi 4 content to the Divi 5 format. Whether you need to run the migration depends on where and how the layout is being used.

When you should run the migration tool

Run the Divi 5 Migration Tool if:

• You have an existing Divi 4 website and are upgrading it to Divi 5.
• The page or layout was created or imported while the site was using Divi 4.
• You want to convert existing Divi 4 content to the Divi 5 format.

When you do not need to run the migration tool

You do not need to run the migration tool if:

• You are importing the layout directly into a fresh Divi 5 website.
• The layout uses only native Divi modules.
• The Migration Tool reports “No migration required” after scanning the page.

In these cases, the layout is already compatible with Divi 5, and no further action is needed.

Divi Layouts Extended

All Divi Layouts Extended layouts are built using native Divi modules.

• Fresh Divi 5 site: Import the layout and start using it. No migration is required.
• Existing Divi 4 site: After upgrading to Divi 5, run the Migration Tool to convert the existing layout.
