How to remove demo import content from my site?

To remove the demo content, please follow these steps carefully:

If you have imported a demo site in a fresh WordPress installation and you do not need any content for your site (posts, pages, images, etc.):

  1. Firstly, make sure to back up your current site’s data, including any content you might want to keep, just in case.
  2. To remove all the imported demo content, you can use a WordPress reset plugin. There are several plugins available for this purpose, but we recommend reading their documentation first to understand what the reset process entails. In essence, using a reset plugin will delete all of your site’s content and revert it to a fresh WordPress installation.

If your site has other content that you need:

  1. If you have other content on your site that you want to keep, a reset plugin might not be suitable. Instead, you will need to manually remove the unwanted demo content.
  2. Go to the “Posts” section in your WordPress dashboard and delete any demo posts that were imported.
  3. Similarly, navigate to the “Pages” section and delete any demo pages that you don’t need.
  4. In the “Media Library,” remove any images or files that were part of the demo content.

Remember, always proceed with caution when removing content from your site, especially if you have other valuable data that you want to preserve. Backing up your site before making any major changes is a good practice to ensure you have a safety net in case anything goes wrong.

If you have any specific questions or encounter any difficulties during the process, feel free to reach out, we will be more than happy to help you.
