How can I fix the “style.css not found” error?

The “style.css not found” error can occur for several reasons, including incorrect file structure:

  1. Check Theme Folder Structure: Confirm that the theme folder contains the necessary files, including “style.css.” This file serves as the main stylesheet for the theme and should be located at the root level of the theme folder.
  2. Refer to Theme’s File Structure Documentation: It’s recommended to refer the specific themes’ documentation. Some themes may have supplementary files so follow the instructions in the documentation to ensure correct installation and file organization.
  3. Check Plugin Installation:
If you installed a plugin thinking it was a theme, it could lead to the “style.css not found” error. Remember, plugins and themes have distinct file structures. Ensure you have installed the correct type of file in the appropriate directory.
