File structure

A download link is sent in the order confirmation email. The product can also be downloaded from My Account area.

File name

  1. divi-cart-1.x.zip – If purchased from diviextended.com or other websites.
  2. divi-cart.zip – If purchased from the official ET marketplace.

Installation

  1. On your WordPress Dashboard go to Appearance >> Themes >> Add New >> Upload Theme >> Choose File.
  2. Browse the theme file divi-cart.zip on your computer and click Install Now.
  3. Click Activate.
  4. Your new child theme is ready for demo import now.

Once click demo import

Once you have activated the child theme, you will see the Import Demo link on the WordPress Dashboard. Navigate to it and click on Import Demo Content.

 

 

This will start the import process. It may take a  few seconds to minutes depending upon your server configuration and resources.

 

Blog page setup

Assign a product template of your choice to your products

After the demo import, the product templates are added to the Divi Theme Builder. You can enable the one you prefer for your posts. Click on the settings icon to open the template settings.

 

 

 

On the next screen, select All Products and save. 

This not necessarily as to be all products. You could use the layouts on selected products and exclude from some if you prefer. 

 

Assign a blog template of your choice for your blog and archive pages

 

After the demo import, the blog templates are added to the Divi Theme Builder that you can be enabled as blog or archive templates.

 

 Select Blog here. You could also use the templates for archive pages and assign them from here.

Here is the process using one of our other child themes.

After the demo import, the post templates are added to the Divi Theme Builder. You can enable the one you prefer for your posts. The process is just like the above video. In this case, use the post layouts and assign to All Posts instead.

Changing Image of Categories on the Mega Menu

Edit the primary menu and look for the shown areas, replace the URL meant from the demo with your own URL.

Setting up product category page header image.

This comes from the WooCommerce category editor. Edit the category and upload the thumbnail.

On the demo, we have used an image in a way that the subject sits on the center of the image making it appear properly on all device size.

Ajax Search for WooCommerce

Divi Cart will install a separate plugin that shows an Ajax product search box on the top of shop and product category pages.

The plugin in installed and should show the search box on the pages.

If you get any issue with the plugin, simply de-activate and then activate it again.

The plugin can be further tweaked to show more fields and info in the Ajax search.

If you want to use the Ajax search box somewhere else on your page, simply use the shortcode as shown in the highlighted area below.

How to enable Add to Cart Icon on Product Thumbnails

To enable the Add to Cart Icon in the top right corner of the Product Thumbnails, follow the below steps

  1. Go to the WordPress Dashboard >> Appearance >> Customize.
  2. Then in the Customizer settings, go to the WooCommerce >> Product Catalog >> and tick the checkbox “Enable Add to Cart.”
  3. Click Publish to apply changes.
